INTRODUCTION of OptiFeed, developed by Acando 2018, by IIOT-officer Rune Larsen and team:

  • The OptiFeed is a specially designed and developed cloud-based proprietary sensor and control system, which monitors and analyses all the systems in an UrbanFeed system.

  • The OptiFeed integrates and uses data from the UrbanFeed sensors and/or data-systems. Conventional NFT and Fish Farming systems are in constant flow and operate 24/7, while UrbanFeed`s is responsive to the actual the environment around the plants in Real Time using state of the art machine learning and artificial Intelligence. Rather than a fixed time and volume, the environment around the plant is monitored by a proprietary sensor and irrigation is based on the plant’s size, growth, metabolism and real time requirements.

  • The Optifeed is also responsible for monitoring and controlling CO2, pH, Humidity, Temperature and more. It allows for optimal growing conditions over time to be systematically reverse engineered and then programmed for more granular control than ever before possible.

  • KLIMASMART MAT KRONIKK i Adresseavisa august 2018: KLIMASMART MATPRODUKSJON

“Aquaculture, not the Internet, represents the most promising investment opportunity of the 21st Century.”— Peter Drucker, Management Expert & Economist

The rapid development of aquaculture in recent years has been likened to a “Blue Revolution” that matches the Green Revolution”— Jeffrey Sachs

FAO (Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations) sier at akvakultur vil vokse med 40% innen 2030 (kilde: Intrafish).

The development of technology from flow-through systems to RAS with ~99% recycling of water has been a game changer.
